Joe Opitz, the owner of Flanagan's, has been in the restaurant industry since 1987, helping his family open two restaurants in Maryland. Since moving to California 16 years ago, much of his career has been in hotel and country club food and beverage management. His wife, Luciana, also has a country club and resort background dating back over 20 years since moving to California from Brazil. That experience adds up to Flanagan's being an irresistible stop in the Barnyard Shopping Village. For those stopping by with an appetite, Flanagan's dishes up an appetizing parade of bites, ranging from Buffalo Wings and a half-pound fresh Angus Burger, to the time-honored Irish-inspired flavors of the Shepherd's Pie, Fish and Chips, and delectably popular Bangers and Mash. Those fresh-cut chips are some of the most popular items on this Irish-American menu. Keep an eye out for special events, including some tempting food specials. Of course, the bar is brimming with beers (plenty of great ones on tap), whiskeys, and other assorted spirits that are perfect for sipping with a favorite menu item, or even while taking in the some of the televised sports action.
