Little Tap House is a neighborhood gastropub with farm to table fare. Nestled between the Arts District and West End, Little Tap House is just steps away from a variety of artsy venues. With 14 rotating taps, Little Tap House curates its ever-changing draught list to be Maine-centric. This allows for the craft beer to be the freshest possible, while also reducing environmental and ecological waste. LTH (as the locals say) is the ideal place to go before or after a show at the State Theater or Civic Center and resides kitty-corner to the Portland Museum of Art and Holiday Inn By The Bay.
Little Tap House serves Lunch and Dinner, daily from 11am-4pm and 4pm-10pm. For a more casual dining experience, bar snacks are available at the 11-seat bar and surrounding whiskey barrel tables. Happy Hour offers food and drink specials from 4-7pm, Monday - Friday. Brunch is served Saturday & Sunday from 10am-2:30pm. Event-wise, Little Tap House has live music Wednesday nights from 8-10pm and during Sunday Brunch from 12-2pm. The social calendar changes monthly with a host of brewer release parties and tap takeovers.
Favorite dishes include Poutine, a Little Tap House take on the French Canadian classic featuring fresh hand-cut Maine fries, house-braised Pineland Farms beef, gravy and Pineland Farms cheese curds; Local Organic Salad with greens from Funky Bow Farm in Lyman, Maine, topped with Maine pan-seared Salmon; and the ever-delicious Tap House Burger made with house-ground local beef, choice of cheese, and a heaping side of hand-cut fries. All food comes from local grown farms.
