The owner of Phil's Sliders named this small burger joint after his dad. In fact, the whole story is up on the wall of the place and is a sweet yarn to chew on while downing delicious homemade potato tots. The counter-service restaurant makes just about everything from scratch, including the ice cream it uses in its shakes. For fast-food fare, it's decidedly down home and is my new favorite cheap eats in Berkeley.
